Forehead wrinkles

As you do your normal time to time facial expressions, a form of dynamic wrinkles will appear on your forehead area, as time passes and you grow older these dynamic wrinkles will be more apparent especially over the forehead area and especially with collagen depletion due to the normal ageing process. In SoliDerma we adopt the safest minimally invasive techniques to give you the best possible results depending on your degree of forehead muscle tension.

In a nut shell, the dynamic muscles in our forehead and face are constantly contracting with our various facial expressions. Over time, this causes deep lines and wrinkles to form. Botox is a neuromodulator that, when injected into the muscle beneath a wrinkle, causes the muscle to stop contracting. This relaxation of the muscle results in a smoother brow, free of wrinkles.

Highly effective in reducing the appearance of deep forehead furrows and lines, this neuromodulator can be injected into the forehead in a quick treatment session and results are visible within a week of treatment. Typical results last up to six months, and the procedure can be repeated when results begin to wear off.

Forehead wrinkles FAQs

Q: Is it safe?

A: Neuromodulators are safe and effective for the treatment of facial wrinkles when the treatment is performed by an experienced doctor with specialized training in botulinum toxin A injections. The SoliDerma team are all UK trained and can safely preform the injection with minimal side effects.

Q: Why Botox for forehead wrinkles?

A: Botox is often a good option for minimizing the appearance of brow furrows because the creases are caused by tense, contracting facial muscles. The neuromodulator relaxes the muscles that cause the furrows, smoothing out the area, whereas another treatment, such as a facial filler, is used to fill in volume lost with age. Wrinkles caused by lax skin and volume loss are often best treated with facial fillers. disabled in your browser.</div></div>

Q: How long do results last?

A: Individual results of a neuromodulator treatment will vary from patient to patient, but the average is 4-6 months. Once results subside, the treatment can be performed again.

Q: When will I see the results?

A: While some patients may see a subtle change right after the procedure, full results are typically experienced within a week or two of the treatment. You will be offered a free follow up appointment within the first two weeks for a possible top up if required , however it is not normally required bearing in mind over correction is not desired.
